At present, DeutscheTelekom's Business Development and Innovation Division (BDI) in Germany has established a partnership with Vubiquity, a provider of fee-based content services in the United States, for the design of end-to-end OTT solutions. It is aimed at platform operators who plan to launch multi-screen video services. Business providers provide the necessary support.
Vubiquity will provide all content-related services for VideoRise, the video on demand (VOD) platform of Germany's DeutscheTelekom. This modular-based solution incorporates parts of the management and transmission of multi-platform OTT video services.
Vendors can choose to use the platform's modules, or choose which technologies to integrate into existing systems. This business will also allow users to access movies, TV shows, and library content on their televisions and mobile devices.
Adam Poulter, Vubiquity's executive vice president and managing director for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America, believes: "The demand for customizable multi-screen video solutions from service providers is increasing. We are now working with Deutsche Telekom's BDI division. The cooperation will provide operators and service providers with a complete service covering all aspects of content and required technology."
