Philips invests 600 million to build a new energy-saving lamp factory

Recently, the production base of Philips Lighting (China) fluorescent lamps and other related light source products started in Yizheng, Jiangsu. This is one of the highlights of Philips Lighting's investment and strategic layout in China this year and beyond.

The total investment of the production base will exceed 600 million yuan. It is planned to be completed in July 2008 and officially put into operation in October 2008. The products are concentrated in energy-saving light source T5 ultra-fine fluorescent tube and TLD80 tri-color straight tube fluorescent lamp.

Forecasts indicate that China's lighting sales in 2008 will exceed 150 billion yuan.
