Texas Instruments (TI) today announced the CC2538 System-on-Chip (SoC), which simplifies the development of intelligent energy infrastructure, home building automation, and intelligent lighting gateways that support ZigBee® wireless connectivity. The industry's most highly integrated ZigBee solution, the CC2538, is highly cost-effective by highly integrating ARM? CortexTM-M3 MCUs, memory and hardware accelerators on a single silicon chip. Development tools and software
The CC2538 Development Kit (CC2538DK) provides a complete development platform for the CC2538, helping users understand all the features without additional layout. The kit comes with a high-performance CC2538 evaluation board (CC2538EMK) with a motherboard, an integrated ARM Cortex-M3 debug probe for software development, and peripherals such as LCDs, buttons, light sensors and accelerators for creating presentation software. In addition, these boards are compatible with TI SmartRFTM Studio to run RF performance tests.
The CC2538 supports TI's current and future Z-Stack family of products, as well as wireless download software for easier field upgrades.
