AMD and Intel will upgrade the roadmap every once in a while. In 2014, it is basically a past. Starting from the CES show in Q1 next year, the two sides will start a new round of product release upgrades, which will continue until the beginning of 2016. There are a lot of users in A and I. When will the processor conferences in the next two years be released, what are the highlights, and which one should we expect? Now use a picture to let you see the AMD, Intel processor roadmap for the next two years.

The PCGH website of Germany has released a road map of AMD and Intel's 2015-2016 processor. This is the result of their comprehensive information. Although it is not official, most of the plans are based on the revealed news. We have also reported, so this road map is still very informative.

AMD 2015-2016 Processor Roadmap

First look at the red camp AMD, this year's Kaveri APU will not say, FX processor has not been updated, AMD's next focus is Carrizo APU, the official has been released on paper, the architecture of the APU mainly mobile version Carrizo And the low-power mobile version of Carrizo-L, the desktop version is temporarily suspicious.

Carrizo's CPU will be upgraded to the fourth-generation modular architecture Excavtar (excavator), GPU upgrade to the next-generation GCN architecture, process technology maintained at 28nm, TDP range 15-35W. Although Carrizo-L has similar names, it actually replaces low-power APUs such as Beema. The core is Puma+ upgraded version, TDP 10-25W.

The two APUs will be available in Q1-Q2 next year.

The desktop version of Carrizo is not mentioned. It has been reported that Carrizo's 28nm SHP process has been improved according to low power requirements and is not suitable for the desktop version. The Carrizo generation does not have a desktop APU, and the main force is Kaveri APU, but if it is really not Carrizo APU's desktop version, AMD's desktop product line will be completely new next year, it is hard to believe that there is such a situation, so the desktop version of Carrizo APU still has some hope, unless AMD is too much to think about.

AMD has so many things on the processor product line in 2015. Later, I feel that I am looking forward to the X86 new product of Zen architecture. This is the fist product of Jim Keller after returning to AMD. The details are still unknown. However, AMD attaches great importance to this new architecture, and its process technology will be upgraded to the FinFET level, but it is still uncertain whether it is TSMC's 16nm or Globalfoundries 14nm FinFET process.

In addition, the Zen processor will not be available until 2016, and the slots and memory should be updated, so it is not surprising that AMD will push the AM4 slot and support DDR4 memory.

Looking at Intel's, there is only one product in AMD compared to AMD. There are too many products on Intel's side, which is dazzling.

On the big front, the 14nm Broadwell processor, which was postponed this year, began to explode early next year. It has already launched the Broadwell-Y series of Core M processors, which are the mainstay of this market. At the CES show early next year, the U series will be the focus. The current exposed product line already has the Core i5-5200U, which mainly replaces the popular Core i5-4200U, the frequency is increased to 2.2-2.7GHz, and the HD 5500 GPU is integrated. The TDP is 15W.

In the Q2 quarter next year (reasonable may be at the Taipei Computer Show next June), Intel should launch the Broadwell-S desktop processor, the slot is still LGA1150, compatible with the 9-series chipset (8 series is theoretically possible).

Broadwell-S can't be overclocked. In the Q3 quarter of 2015, Intel will launch the Broadwell-K series to unlock the multiplier adjustment. Other architectures will remain the same, but will bring 128MB of cache to the desktop platform to further enhance the performance of the integrated GPU. .

At the same time, the second-generation 14nm processor Skylake-S will also be available, the slot upgrade to LGA1151, need to match the 100 series chipset, support DDR4, but the initial listing of Skylake products can not be overclocked, will not with Broadwell- K series conflicts.

In the Q4 quarter next year, Intel will upgrade the Skylake-Y/U low-power series and repeat the Broadwell-Y/U series. The Broadwell-K series doesn't last long. Intel will overclock it by upgrading the Skylake-K series in the Q1 2016 season. The ultra-flagship desktop platform also has the Broadwell-E series, which is compatible with the LGA2011-3 slot. By convention, Intel should be released in the Q3 quarter next year, but the Broadwell-E series will be postponed until the Q1 quarter to the Q2 quarter of 2016. Launched, anyway, this platform is exclusive to players, and most people don't need to care about these details.
