The choice of general-purpose inverter includes two types of frequency converter selection and capacity selection.
1, the type selection of the inverter
General-purpose inverters can be divided into three types.
a. Common function inverter
For fans, pumps and other loads, the torque varies according to the square of the speed within a certain speed range, and the load torque at low speed is small. Usually, the inverter of the ordinary function type can be selected.
b. Torque control high performance inverter
For constant torque type loads or transmission systems with higher static torque accuracy requirements, high-performance inverters with torque control are preferred. The reason is that the inverter has large low-speed torque, large static mechanical characteristics, and is not afraid of load shock, and has the characteristics of an excavator.
c. Vector control high performance inverter
For production machinery (such as papermaking machinery, rolling mills, etc.) that require high precision, good dynamic performance, and fast response, a vector-controlled high-function general-purpose inverter should be used.
2, the capacity selection of the inverter
The capacity of a general-purpose inverter is characterized by the maximum applicable motor power, rated current, and rated capacity. The applicable power of the motor refers to the standard four-pole motor; the rated current refers to the allowable output current when the inverter is continuously running, which is the key quantity reflecting the load capacity of the inverter device; the rated capacity refers to the output current and Three-phase power at the output voltage, where the output voltage is consistent with the rated voltage of the drive motor.
