Recently, Japan GREEN HOUSE has launched a LED lantern "GH-LED10WBW" that uses water and salt to generate electricity. This product does not use dry batteries or rechargeable batteries. Just add water and salt to the body to generate electricity to illuminate the LEDs. Add one water to generate electricity for 8 hours.
When using this lantern, use a special water bag to make 350 ml of salt water containing 16 grams of salt, and then add it to the lamp. The principle is that the inside of the lantern is equipped with a magnesium (Mg) metal rod (negative electrode) and a carbon rod (positive electrode). After adding brine, the brine can be used as an electrolyte to form a battery. The luminous flux of the lantern is 55 lm, and a magnesium metal rod can be illuminated for up to 120 hours. GREEN HOUSE also offers a separately sold magnesium metal rod as a replacement so that the lantern can be used repeatedly. In addition to lighting the LEDs, the generated power can be used to power other USB products using the included USB cable. The price of this product is open and is expected to be available in mid-September 2012.
Previously, GREEN HOUSE has already listed the Led Lighting bulb "Hikario" that can be used in the E26 lamp holder. There are two kinds of white and light bulb colors. The full beam is 182 lm and 200 lm, respectively, slightly brighter than the 20W incandescent lamp. The power consumption is 3.8W and the life is 40,000 hours. The Hikario has a total length of 115 mm and a maximum outer diameter of 60 mm. It is slightly larger than an incandescent lamp (length 98 mm, outer diameter 55 mm), and the light-emitting portion is covered with spherical glass, so that light can diffuse to the bottom of the bulb. The product is sold through a home appliance store and the company's online store. The price is open, and the company's online store sells for 2,980 yen.
