Overview:
In recent years, mobile terminal products such as mobile phones and digital cameras and multimedia personal players (PMPs) have continued to heat up globally, and new functions to cope with consumer demands have emerged in an endless stream. The increase in functions will inevitably lead to system power consumption. In order to meet the requirements of lower power consumption and smaller size, the choice of power management IC has become a crucial factor in the design of portable products. According to Databeans, power management chips have become the highlight of the global semiconductor market as shown in Figure 1. In particular, mobile phone-led handheld devices tend to be low-voltage, and the requirements for processing and output voltage accuracy of ripple noise are becoming higher and higher, which has become an important issue that plagues designers and power IC designers. Fuji has been working on the development of power ICs for many years and has successfully launched hundreds of power IC products. The DC/DC market share in Japan is among the best. It has been used by many top manufacturers worldwide for many years. In particular, Fujitsu has extensive experience in the development of power management ICs for portable products, providing high-quality power management chips for major digital cameras, digital video cameras and mobile phone manufacturers in Japan. In order to meet the latest demands on power supplies for portable terminals, the Fujitsu Professional Power Supply R&D Center in Japan has introduced the "MB39C014" (single channel, built-in FET current control mode synchronous rectification step-down DC/DC converter) for portable products and MB39C015. (Dual-channel, built-in FET current control mode synchronous rectification step-down DC/DC converter) two products. The MB39C014 and MB39C015 are built-in MOS tubes with a maximum output current of up to 800mA per channel. They feature low noise, high startup response, and power-start sequence control. They are especially suitable for PMP, PND, digital cameras, mobile phones, hard drives, DVD drives, EVD drives. And other products.

Moreover, there is no need for external resistors or capacitors for phase compensation, which greatly reduces the number of components around the IC, helping designers reduce design processes and effectively reduce BOM costs. And because of the current control mode, continuous monitoring of current conditions eliminates the need for built-in soft-start and short-circuit protection. The output voltage can be set by controlling the DAC, or the internal voltage can be adjusted by the resistor divider to achieve the purpose of setting the voltage. In addition, MB39C015 also has built-in temperature protection, UVLO and other protection functions. Very suitable for digital cameras, mobile phones, hard drives, PMP, PND, DVD drives, EVD drives and other products.
