Japan plans to "pack up the moon" to power the earth

This plan sounds like a science fiction story: Japanese scientists are planning to use a reflective tape to circle the moon along the equator, reflecting sunlight and powering the earth.

According to the “Indo Times” report, Japanese scientists announced this plan on the 25th, and announced that if implemented, it will solve the problem of electricity consumption in countries on the globe.

Shimizu said that this plan will continue to transmit 13,000 megawatts of power to earth receiving stations, or through laser and microwave transmission.

All the collection work on the moon will be completed by a remote robot.

After measuring, the total length of reflectors around the moon is 6,800 miles (10,943 kilometers), and the width is 248 miles (400 kilometers). The diameter of the antenna used to transmit energy reaches 20 kilometers. Clearwater Construction claimed that in the end the project will eliminate adverse effects caused by bad weather and achieve global energy demand.

Since the Japanese tsunami caused the leakage of the Fukushima nuclear power plant in March this year, the Japanese government has actively sought an effective alternative energy source. Although the timetable for the “packaged moon” plan has not yet been announced, Qingshui Construction says it will be the largest public facility construction project in human history.
