LED lights are only used as landscape lighting

Fang Yong introduced that the LED technology in the laboratory can achieve a brightness of 200 lm (lumens). However, in practical applications, only 30% of the LED street light can be converted into light energy, and the remaining electric energy is converted into heat energy and lost. Therefore, if the current LED street light is used on a main road, the illumination brightness is far from enough.

High cost to stop LEDs from becoming popular

In addition to heat dissipation, there is a threshold for high costs. The reporter learned that the current cost of LED street lamps is relatively expensive, and a 100-watt LED street lamp requires several thousand dollars.

Industry sources told reporters that since the core technology of LED street lamp chips is basically controlled by foreign countries, domestic LED manufacturers only take products from foreign countries for packaging and processing, so there are problems such as the sharing of intellectual property R&D costs and higher chip prices. .

In addition, the problem of heat dissipation of LED lamps has not been effectively solved. In order to solve the problem of heat dissipation, manufacturers have to design and open mold lamps with high cost, which also increases product costs. The above reasons have caused the price of LED street lighting products not to dominate in market promotion.

The policy is another bottleneck in the promotion of LED street lamps. Insiders revealed that although governments and relevant departments at all levels attach great importance to energy conservation and emission reduction, the cost of expensive LED street lamps and lanterns exceeds the government's ability to bear. In addition, if the transformation of LED lights on the old roads, electricity prices will inevitably drop sharply, but the power supply department can only be invoiced according to the fact, the financial sector can only account according to the facts, local governments in addition to LED street lamps and lanterns, there is no benefit.
