1. Project proposal:

The school interest group proposed that the wind direction needs to be measured. At first, a simple method was considered. The reed switch and the magnet were judged based on the pull-in of the reed switch. However, in the actual production, it was found that the mechanical part was not easy to implement. So modify the plan, select the ready-made wind speed and direction sensor, communicate with the PLC, and display it on the touch screen.

2. Actual production:

Purchase the wind speed and direction sensor, connect it with Haiwell PLC C10S0T, and realize the collection of wind speed and wind direction through programming. Later, further requirements were made: measuring temperature and humidity, as well as measuring PM2.5, which everyone is more concerned about, with corresponding display and voice playback. In this case, because the C series cannot be expanded, the plan is modified and the S series is used.

Because its output is a TTL signal, it needs 5V power supply. PLC is 485 communication, so it needs to use TTL-485 conversion circuit for signal conversion.

The measurement parameters can be displayed on the screen, and the clock can be set. There are two types of voice playback: hourly broadcast and touch screen button broadcast.

3. Conclusion

Haiwell PLC is easy to use and rich in instructions, especially in terms of communication, which is very flexible and brings great convenience. In addition, in terms of simulation, it also has unique advantages and is a rare PLC.
