A few days ago, the results of the first Jilin Province Lighting Science and Technology Awards were announced: 28 entries from People's Street, Jilin Road, and Jiefang Road Night Landscape Lighting Project were awarded.
The first Jilin Province Lighting Science and Technology Award, approved by the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, was awarded to the province for its innovative research achievements in lighting research, teaching, technology, design and construction; technological invention and technological innovation. Outstanding lighting academic papers; energy-saving, environmentally-friendly, cost-effective, and convenient lighting design; on the basis of excellent design, construction and installation of fine lighting projects. There are three sub-items, Lighting Design Award, Lighting Engineering Award, Lighting Technology Progress and Academic Contribution Award.
The Jilin Province Lighting Science and Technology Awards are implemented at the two-level evaluation system of the judging panel and the jury. On December 18, 2009, the Jilin Province Lighting Science and Technology Awards expert review meeting was held in the conference room on the 8th floor of Jilin Science and Technology Association. A total of 16 experts from the Changchun Institute of Optics and Mechanics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Jilin University of Architecture and Engineering, Changchun City Street Lights and Jilin City Street Lighting Department participated in the awards as the judges of the awards. After the vote of the expert review team, 30 selected works were finally produced from the 35 finalists. On January 8, 2010, the Jilin Province Lighting Science and Technology Awards Review Committee meeting was successfully held in the Provincial Architectural Design Institute. Zhao Shicai, deputy director of the former Jilin Provincial Construction Department, served as a member of the jury, and Jiao Hongjun, chairman of the Jilin Provincial Architectural Design Institute Co., Ltd., and Dong Jun, director of the Changchun City Street Light Department, and other eight jury members submitted the report to the expert review meeting. The selected works were finalized and 28 awards were finally revealed.
