PLASA, the annual tradeshow for the Professional Lighting and Sound Association provided a comprehensive showcase of recent developments in lighting for the entertainment industry, with many companies showing LED-based products. This design and visualization software allows stage designers to simulate all manner of lighting and effects, and has recently been updated to include LED-based screens and their content. Tucked away at the Back of the second hall was VER, a rental company, which had an impressive 3D LED display. The display consisted of a regular 8 mm display ov Erlaid with a patterned optical material to create the 3D effect. OF course, the display ran special 3D content, and was viewed through 3D glasses.
